What to send WTIP
Post it, don't email it. WTIP works from physical media, so a digital-only artist is stuck until there's something to put in an envelope. Send a clearly labelled CD with your name, the track title and a contact on the disc itself, not only on the sleeve.
Send the clean edit if you have one. WTIP is FCC-bound during the day like nearly every station on this list, and a clean version simply gets played more often.
WAV is safest, 320 kbps MP3 is the floor. Anything below that gets noticed quickly on a broadcast chain.
WTIP is volunteer-run. The person reading your email is doing it for love of the music, so be brief, be human, and follow up once at most.
